Join the dedicated team as a Pathology Receptionist at a leading NHS Trust, where you will deliver exceptional service in our Reception/Phlebotomy Outpatients department. Your role will involve efficiently managing patient bookings and administrative tasks while providing excellent customer service amid a fast-paced environment.
As a Pathology Receptionist you will be joining our existing friendly and hardworking team in the Reception/Phlebotomy Outpatients department at the Chesterfield site of Derbyshire Pathology.
You should hold GCSE English or equivalent and have good IT skills. An NVQ level II in Customer Services and/or experience of admin work/customer services/telephone enquiries is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
This is an administrative patient/customer facing role and you would be expected to provide efficient, effective and friendly reception service to patients and visitors attending the Pathology/Phlebotomy department.
You will be expected to stand and/or sit for extended periods whilst dealing with patients, telephone calls, computer work and stock so the ability to multitask and work flexibly is essential.
You will provide both face to face and telephone reception services using written and verbal communication to liaise with patents, staff, ward/units, directorates and external agencies to support an efficient patient service.
You will book-in patients by checking and using the correct demographics to record and create appointments using trust applications to forward the patients pathway maintaining confidentiality at all times
