Circle Health Group's PureLab-UK seeks an experienced Medical Director – Pathology to lead pathology services. The role combines senior medical leadership with strategic clinical oversight and an active caseload, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety.

The post requires GMC registration, Specialist Register in Histopathology, FRCPath, and a minimum of five years as a Consultant Pathologist with leadership experience. Part-time 15 hours/week.

Formación

• GMC registration and licence to practise required.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Histopathology or eligibility within six months.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum five years as a substantive Consultant Pathologist with leadership experience.
• Experience delivering high-quality diagnostic pathology services with strong clinical judgement.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior medical and clinical leadership across pathology services.
• Maintain an active clinical caseload and agreed PAs within your discipline.
• Develop and deliver strategic direction of pathology services with leadership colleagues.
• Lead governance, quality assurance and patient safety initiatives to meet standards.
• Oversee medical oversight of operations to optimise service delivery and performance.
• Lead recruitment, development and appraisal of pathology consultants and SAS pathologists.
• Drive innovation, digital pathology adoption and improvements to clinical pathways.
• Support business planning, investment decisions and sustainable growth.
• Promote continuous improvement, audit, research and dissemination of best practice.
