  • Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Able to work with numbers for billing and revenue purposes.
  • MUST have Venepuncture and ECG skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle clinical material safely.
  • Proficient in PC use, including software and systems.
Duties of this role include:
  • Supporting the Pathology department by acting as a link between the department and other clinical areas, including wards and theatres.
  • Performing specimen handling, dispatch, and transport tasks effectively and correctly, managing the dispatch of laboratory results.
  • Ensuring safe handling and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensuring correct segregation of waste.
  • Committed to delivering quality services to internal and external stakeholders through continuous improvement activities.
