Job summary

Elekta AB is seeking a junior Intellectual Property (IP) professional to support patent portfolio development and invention disclosures. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify technologies with patent potential, perform prior-art searches, and assist with patentability assessments.

The role suits a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years of experience, with interest in IP and technology commercialization, and familiarity with patent databases.

Qualifications

• University education in science or engineering (or equivalent) with the ability to understand technical concepts in electronics, physics or software.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience.
• Interest in patents, IP, innovation management or technology commercialization.
• Familiarity with scientific literature reviews, patent databases or technical searching.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and product development teams to identify, capture and assess innovations with patent potential.
• Support invention disclosure reviews, prior-art searches and patentability assessments in collaboration with Patent Attorneys.
• Maintain and support the development of Elekta's patent portfolio, ensuring accurate records and effective portfolio management.
• Monitor competitor activity, technology trends and IP landscapes to provide business insights.
• Promote IP awareness through training, guidance materials and engagement with technical teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IP processes and cross-functional collaboration.
