Electrical Test Engineer/PAT Tester

Location: Parnwell, Peterborough
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: 30,000 - 37,500
Working Pattern: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm)
Driving Required: Yes

Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Electrical Test Engineer to join their vibrant team in Parnwell, Peterborough. If you're passionate about electrical maintenance and testing, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you!

What You'll Be Doing:

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our equipment is in top-notch condition, ready to deliver unforgettable experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining hire stock electrical distribution units and equipment.
  • Keeping accurate records and working to schedules to maintain equipment readiness.
  • Adhering to company Health & Safety protocols while executing your tasks.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on audio, lighting, power distribution, cabling systems, and rigging equipment.
  • Assisting with new-build equipment projects to keep our offerings fresh and innovative.

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • Qualifications:
    • - 18th Edition Qualified Electrician
      - City & Guilds qualification in Inspection & Testing (e.g., 2391, 2392, 2394, 2395)
      - City & Guilds 2377 qualification in PAT testing
      • Experience:
      • - Proven experience in Portable Appliance Testing
        - Familiarity with 3-phase systems and variable RCDs
        - Ability to perform repairs on distribution equipment
        • Skills:
        • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
          - Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
          - Effective workload management and prioritisation
          - Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
          - Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
          • Additional:
          • - A valid UK driving licence
            - Experience with Hiretrack rental management software is advantageous, though not essential
