Job summary

Norwood Electrical UK Ltd is seeking an engineer to perform PAT testing and in-service inspection across various sites, including schools, hospitals, hotels and universities. You will liaise with customers to meet their requirements while minimizing disruption and will handle weekly result downloads to the PAT team at Head Office.

The role requires good IT skills, time management, and the ability to work autonomously within Health & Safety guidelines, reporting back on progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and email communication required.
• Ability to manage own time and meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) as per IET Code of Practice.
• Produce results that meet client and accrediting body requirements.
• Manage appliance testing in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Liaise with customers to minimize disruption while meeting their needs across schools, hospitals, hotels and universities.
• Use weekly downloads and send results to the PAT team at Head Office.
• Plan and manage your own schedules with PAT Team direction and maintain accurate start/finish times.

Job description

The successful candidate will carry out Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice.

Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies.

Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.

Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer's requirements, whilst limiting the disruption to their business. Lots of sites consist of Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities.

The engineer must have an acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office and have access to emails, as part of their job (once a week) requires the successful process of the downloading procedure (weekly results) being completed and sent to the PAT team at Head Office.

Job schedules will be arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office however, the Engineer must be able to manage their own time efficiently and successfully.

Maintain an acceptable time keeping track record, ensure that start & finish times are adhered to, as directed by the PAT Manager.
