Job summary

Norwood Electrical UK Ltd is seeking an engineer to carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice. The role includes producing results meeting the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies, and managing appliance testing in line with Health & Safety Regulations.

You will liaise with customers to ensure the work is carried out efficiently and with minimal disruption,

Qualifications

• PAT testing knowledge per IET Code of Practice edition.

Responsibilities

• Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) as per IET Code of Practice.
• Produce results meeting client and accrediting bodies requirements and quality standards.
• Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
• Liaise with customers to ensure work is efficient and minimal disruption; sites include Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities.
• Weekly results downloaded and sent to the PAT team at Head Office.
• Job schedules arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office; manage own time efficiently and meet start/finish times as directed by the PAT Manager.
• Maintain an acceptable time-keeping history and adhere to start/finish times as directed.

Job description

The successful candidate will carry out Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice.

Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies.

Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.

Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer's requirements, whilst limiting the disruption to their business. Lots of sites consist of Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities.

The engineer must have an acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office and have access to emails, as part of their job (once a week) requires the successful process of the downloading procedure (weekly results) being completed and sent to the PAT team at Head Office.

Job schedules will be arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office however, the Engineer must be able to manage their own time efficiently and successfully.

Maintain an acceptable time keeping track record, ensure that start & finish times are adhered to, as directed by the PAT Manager.
