Qualifications

  • Must pass a full enhanced DBS check.

  • Competence in reporting and using Microsoft Office.

  • Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT).
  • Liaise with customers to ensure efficient work completion.
  • Manage your own schedule effectively, with support from the PAT Team.

Job description

PAT tester (Portable Appliance Tester) required for my well-established client.

Will be covering the Somerset area, so a driving licence is essential.

Average Salary 28k
Full training given with progression opportunities
Permanent Role

Must pass Full enhanced DBS check.
40hrs Per week Monday to Friday, with some Weekend Work and occasional out-of-hours work.
Some time will involve staying away from home from Monday to Friday.

Suitable candidate would need to have the below skills:

  • Hard working, competent and reliable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Proficient in I.T (Microsoft Office)
  • Access to a Laptop/tablet/computer once a week to download reports
  • Willing to work in different environments
  • Wear the company uniform correctly and consistently

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) according to the current IET Code of Practice.
  • Produce results meeting client and external accreditation standards.
  • Manage appliance testing in line with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure efficient work completion with minimal disruption, including sites like Schools, Hospitals, Hotels, and Universities.
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication; download and send weekly reports to Head Office.
  • Manage your own schedule effectively, with support from the PAT Team.
  • Adhere to agreed start and finish times, as directed by the PAT Manager.
  • Proactively identify and address potential customer dissatisfaction issues, such as delays due to traffic, through good route planning.
