Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, The
Fife Arms Hotel is looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Sous Chef
to join our award-winning culinary team. This is an exceptional opportunity to
work in one of Scotland’s most celebrated luxury hotels, surrounded by
breathtaking scenery, premium ingredients, and a creative, supportive team.

The Role

As Pastry Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive and Head Chefs to
oversee the pastry section, delivering outstanding dishes across our dining
outlets – from the elegant Clunie Dining Room (Afternoon Tea and Dinner) to the
lively Flying Stag Pub, as well as private events. Using the finest seasonal
produce from Scotland and beyond, you’ll help create and develop innovative
menus that delight our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage
    the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring the highest culinary
    standards.
  • Contribute
    to the creation of imaginative, seasonal menus.
  • Maintain
    exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Train,
    mentor, and delegate tasks to junior team members.
  • Monitor
    stock levels, place orders, and plan according to business needs.
  • Uphold
    cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards at all times.
