Chef de Partie - Pastry - Hook
Salary: £28,000 per year
Role Overview
As a Chef de Partie - Pastry, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet the hotel's exacting standards. You will manage your pastry section efficiently and assist the Sous Chef to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
The kitchen team supports a variety of services including events, room service, and afternoon teas, offering you the chance to gain broad experience. Flexibility and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the pastry section to ensure smooth and efficient operation in line with the Head Chef's standards.
  • Prepare and present exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked items.
  • Support the Sous Chef and kitchen management in delivering excellent service across all kitchen functions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to help them perform at their best.
  • Monitor work schedules and plans to meet the demands of various outlets and special functions.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety within your section.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to provide a seamless dining experience.
