Pastry Chef de Partie

An exciting opportunity for a permanent Pastry Chef de Partie has arisen in our kitchen brigade at Trump Turnberry.

The successful candidate will work with the senior chef team to create a professional, safe, and positive working environment to allow junior chefs to learn and develop their skills. With the support of the Head of Pastry and Executive Chef, you will assist in managing the pastry team, driving service, and producing exceptional quality food at all times.

You will have the opportunity to develop your pastry and baking skills, be encouraged to bring your ideas to the kitchen, and work with the best ingredients.

Job Functions

1. Work as part of the kitchen team, communicating well with others to ensure smooth food service, supporting others under pressure, and asking for help when needed to meet service standards.
2. Understand all menus within your responsibility, ensure recipes are followed accurately, portion control is maintained, and presentation specifications are met.
3. Oversee and control the quality of junior chefs' work, ensuring high standards of food are served.
4. Compile order requests from various sections and add them to the market list for review by the Senior Chef.
5. Present ideas for new dishes regularly, including recipes and specifications, and involve junior chefs in the process.
6. Respect food produce by storing, preparing, and cooking as instructed, reporting any wastage to the Senior Chef.

Position Requirements

• Must be eligible to work within the UK.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar 5-star environment.
• Substantial knowledge and experience in a kitchen environment are essential.
• Culinary qualifications are desirable.
• Some supervisory experience is advantageous.
• The candidate should have a creative flair.
