Job description

Pastry Chef - Canary Wharf

We are looking for a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team in Canary Wharf.

Job Details:
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £38K
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing daily pastry production and retail orders
  • Preparing a variety of baked goods, including granola, muffins, tarts, brownies, whole cakes, loaf cakes, and plated desserts
  • Producing grazing table desserts and Mezz desserts twice a week (150-250 portions)
  • Overseeing bread production for PDR & Brasserie
  • Conducting weekly stock takes and ensuring efficient kitchen organization
  • Leading and mentoring the pastry team, ensuring high standards and consistency
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Leadership experience in a pastry kitchen (hotels or corporate environments)
  • Ability to give clear feedback and guide team members
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Skilled in whole cake production, chocolate work, and plating
Personality & Work Ethic:
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to a corporate environment
  • A team player with a willingness to learn from others
  • Creative but able to accept and apply feedback
  • Flexible, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen
