A Day in the Life at Hazel

Reporting to the Executive Head Chef and Chef de Cuisine, your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and presenting beautifully crafted desserts, pastries, breads, and cakes
  • Designing and executing seasonal and bespoke afternoon tea items
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and allergen management
  • Monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering and waste control
  • Training and supporting junior pastry team members
  • Collaborating with the team to deliver a high-quality guest experience
What We Need from You!

To succeed as our Pastry Chef, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a pastry chef role within a quality kitchen or hotel
  • Strong knowledge of patisserie techniques and modern dessert presentation
  • A passion for creating memorable dining experiences
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • A calm, positive, and collaborative attitude, even during busy times
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and service styles, including events and afternoon teas
