Job description

Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in the role of a Pastoral Support Worker at The Milton Keynes Academy.

We are seeking to appoint an empathetic and motivated individual to join our highly effective and experienced team.

This role requires an enthusiastic, dedicated, and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to support our young people and ensure that, regardless of their starting point, they make good progress. You must be passionate about supporting and developing pupils with Special Educational Needs and demonstrate a natural ability to build positive relationships.

We are based in central Milton Keynes, an area that continues to grow and thrive rapidly. The Milton Keynes Academy joined the Creative Education Trust in September 2018, which has enabled the school to pursue rapid improvement for the children it teaches.

Our staff are inspirational and caring. The pupils are at the heart of everything we do. If you share our vision of Opportunities for Everyone and are suitably qualified for the role, we would love to hear from you!

We are an equal opportunities employer. MKA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and we expect all staff to share this commitment. References from previous employers will be requested for shortlisted applicants prior to interview.
