Job summary

An independent specialist school in Ealing seeks a Therapist / Pastoral Support to provide therapeutic and pastoral assistance to students. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm



About the school:
Independent specialist school for pupils aged 5-21 with social, emotional and mental health needs and moderate learning difficulties. The school offers a holistic approach, combining education, therapy, and personal development in a nurturing setting.

About the role:
Provide therapeutic and pastoral support to help students regulate emotions, manage behaviour, and develop resilience. Work closely with the wellbeing team and teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions and build strong, trusting relationships with young people.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group wellbeing interventions
- Support students with emotional regulation and communication
- Contribute to individual behaviour and support plans
- Liaise with staff, families and external professionals
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive school culture

Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
- Background in therapy, counselling, youth work, or pastoral support
- Experience working with children with SEMH and/or SEND
- Empathetic, calm and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Relevant qualifications (counselling, psychotherapy, social work, or similar) desirable
