Job Title: Pastoral Support Worker (Snowdon Village – Bristol Futures)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

Start Date: 1 September 2025

Snowdon Village - Bristol Futures Academy are a growing organisation, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

About you:

You will be:

  • A passionate individual who wants to be a part of transforming education and will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and chosen Academy.
  • Able to establish effective relationships with designated students both 1:1 and in groups, utilising specialist and developed skills and techniques to ensure all students make progress in line with their objectives and achieve their potential.
  • Able to support young people to develop a wider educational, social, and cultural understanding of life.
  • will be a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students.
  • Competent in literacy and numeracy (evidenced by GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, equivalent qualifications and/or experience).
  • Experienced or hold knowledge of specific learning difficulties such as SEMH, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia to support the learning of students with such difficulties.
  • Please note driving is essential for this opportunity.

About Snowdon Village:

Snowdon Village is a multi-site, cross-phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School.

Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school. Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long-term residential care to short-term, part-time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.

The checks will also include an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list.
