Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Waltham Forest
Pay: 105- 120 per day

Are you experienced in student wellbeing, safeguarding, or youth support?
A secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join their pastoral team and support the personal development and wellbeing of students across the school.

About the role:

  • Supporting students with emotional, behavioural, or attendance concerns
  • Acting as a first point of contact for students in need of guidance or support
  • Liaising with families, external agencies, and school staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Monitoring attendance and punctuality and supporting interventions
  • Playing a key role in safeguarding and wellbeing procedures

About you:

  • Experience in a school, youth work, social care or similar environment
  • Confident with managing sensitive situations and building trust
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
