Vision for Education are seeking a Pastoral Support Officer for our client school in Stockport.

About the role

Working within my client school's isolation room, you will provide supervision to students who are in isolation or have been removed from lesson due to their behaviour. Students will be expected to reflect on their behaviour, whilst following expectations within the isolation room. You may be required to facilitate reflective work or restorative conversations with students. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain the isolation room register and liaise with the pastoral and inclusion team.

Required from September 2025. Working full-time, Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Pastoral Support Officer you will:

  • Have previous experience in inclusion support at secondary level
  • Or, have previous experience as a coach/mentor/counsellor to young people
  • Have GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or higher
  • Can provide suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
