Job summary

Senploy in Greater Manchester is recruiting Elevate Beyond-style Pastoral Support Mentors to work with young people aged 11-19 across schools, alternative provision and specialist education settings. Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with young people (11–19) in educational or safeguarding contexts.
• An Enhanced DBS including the Children’s Barred List.
• Registration with the DBS Update Service.
• Two professional references.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Delivering one-to-one mentoring
• Providing pastoral and emotional support
• Identifying triggers and patterns in behaviour
• Helping young people develop regulation and coping strategies
• Supporting pupils affected by trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences
• Re-engaging pupils with poor attendance or school avoidance
• Supporting behaviour without creating confrontation
• Helping young people develop resilience and independence
• Encouraging positive choices around education and future pathways
• Working alongside safeguarding, SEND, teaching and pastoral colleagues
