Job summary

Brookthorpe Hall School, a new independent specialist day school for children aged 7 to 16, is looking for a Pastoral Assistant to support pupils with autism and SEMH needs in a safe, structured environment.

You will work closely with the Pastoral Support Team, families and external professionals to promote positive behaviour, record and monitor information, and contribute to wellbeing, inclusion and safeguarding across the school.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) required.
• Caring, resilient and proactive approach.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support, guidance and encouragement to pupils across the school.
• Support pupils to develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence and self-esteem.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for all pupils.
