We are supporting a secondary school based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northeast (NE3 5HP) with a full time, job vacancy for a secondary school pastoral mentor (teaching assistant).
If you are an experienced pastoral mentor (teaching assistant) who has worked with pupils with SEMH and is available immediately and would like to discuss a new secondary school, based job opportunity in the Northeast, we would be keen to speak with you. This secondary school-based job is offered on a full-time basis; however a more flexible working pattern can be discussed depending on your personal working requirements. We have a number of posts available as the SEMH provision is expanding across the trust. Ideally, you will be an experienced secondary mentor who has supported pupils with SEMH needs within either KS2 at primary level or KS3/KS4 at secondary level. The role will be long term, temporary to begin with however you may have the opportunity to apply on a permanent basis later in the academic year.
We gain official salary information from each setting to ensure you are paid to scale from day one and in line with your responsibilities. Proposed start date: September/October 2025. Salary: Daily rate equivalent (£110 to £120 per day). Date posted: 09.09.25. Application closing date: 07.10.25.
