Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager to support autistic pupils aged 11-19. You will lead on pastoral care, behaviour support and student wellbeing while working closely with families and multi-agency professionals.

The role requires experience with autism/SEND and strong communication to build trusted relationships across staff, pupils and external partners. The position is based on site at the Birmingham school.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with autism and/or SEND.
  • Experience leading pastoral, behaviour or safeguarding support.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies.

Pastoral Manager

Birmingham
£150 - £180 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Start: September 2026

The School and Role

This welcoming specialist school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a compassionate and experienced Pastoral Manager to support autistic pupils aged 11-19. The successful candidate will lead on pastoral care, behaviour support and student wellbeing, working closely with families and multi-agency professionals. The school is a UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting School with around 180 pupils and is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive environment where every young person can thrive.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with autism and/or SEND
  • Experience leading pastoral, behaviour or safeguarding support
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies
