Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is recruiting a Learning Support Key Worker (Pastoral & SEMH) to support at-risk students across regional campuses. The role emphasises pastoral care, attendance improvement, and small-group interventions to remove barriers to learning.

The post is temporary with potential to become permanent, term-time only (38 weeks) with flexible hours (3 days a week minimum). DBS checks are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent Level 2).
• A Level 3+ qualification in education, youth work, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as central contact for up to 50 vulnerable learners, building trust and resilience.
• Implement de-escalation and trauma-informed practices with targeted small-group sessions.
• Develop individual support plans and chair annual EHCP reviews, tracking progress.
