Pastoral Lead – Secondary SEN – Walsall
Are you an experienced pastoral professional passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Walsall is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join their team in supporting children with special educational needs. This rewarding role focuses on providing social, emotional, and behavioural support for students with needs such as SEMH, Autism, Hearing Impairments, and ADHD.

As Pastoral Lead, you will work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and external agencies to ensure every student receives the guidance and support they need to thrive. You’ll play a key role in building positive relationships with students, families, and staff, helping to remove barriers to learning and supporting emotional regulation, attendance, and engagement across the school.

Job Role:
  • Leading pastoral care for students with special educational needs
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional wellbeing strategies
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to coordinate support
  • Developing and delivering targeted interventions and pastoral programmes
  • Working collaboratively with SEN and teaching teams to support student progress
