Pastoral Lead - Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 Full-Time Long-Term Role

Are you passionate about student wellbeing and helping young people feel safe, supported, and understood at school? Do you enjoy making a real difference in students' lives every day?

We're working with secondary schools in Northampton seeking a caring, proactive Pastoral Lead to join their teams from September 2025. This full-time, long-term role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to support students' personal development, emotional wellbeing, and overall school experience.

What the job involves:

  • Leading on pastoral care for students across the school

  • Supporting young people with emotional, behavioural, or social difficulties

  • Working closely with students one-to-one or in small groups to build trust and resilience

  • Supporting the development of positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive environment

  • Monitoring student welfare and working with staff to develop support plans

  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies

  • Helping to create a positive school culture where every student feels seen and supported

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting

  • A kind, calm, and consistent approach to student support

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Someone reliable, organised, and passionate about student wellbeing

  • (Bonus) Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, or behaviour management
