Job description

This pastoral HLTA role aims to enhance pupils’ learning and behaviour across various classroom settings. The successful candidate will work with individual pupils or groups, implementing tailored strategies to support their social and emotional development. The role involves collaborating with the pastoral team and under the supervision of the AVP for Behaviour to ensure the smooth operation of the school, fostering strong relationships with parents and carers.

The responsibilities include planning, preparing, and delivering support interventions, monitoring and assessing pupils’ behaviour and social skills, and reporting on progress. The role also involves line management of other Teaching Assistants. It is a pastoral role focused on supporting students’ personal development rather than direct teaching and learning.

Job Details
  • Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, term time only
  • Position Type: Permanent
  • Line Manager: Assistant Vice Principal Behaviour / Vice Principal Pastoral
  • Travel Required: Driving licence desirable due to multiple sites
