Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and imaginative individual with experience as a practitioner or chaplain, possessing specialist knowledge and expertise in pastoral and spiritual care within mental healthcare. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of experienced pastoral and spiritual care practitioners/chaplains at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Role Overview

The post holder will join a multidisciplinary team to oversee the spiritual, pastoral, and religious needs of service users, carers, and Trust staff. The role requires the ability to work independently alongside other practitioners to develop and maintain high standards of pastoral and spiritual care across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide pastoral care on mental health hospital wards and to community mental health teams.
  2. Respond to urgent and routine referrals within the Trust's coverage area.
  3. Ensure a safe, supportive, and accessible spiritual care service for mental health patients and staff.
