Job Summary

IFC Certification is seeking a Passive Installer Schemes Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage a team of 12 of Inspectors / Senior Inspectors and , have total responsibility for the various Passive Installer UKAS accredited certification schemes.

About the role

  • Assisting the Passive Installer team with their office quality audits and site inspections for installation contractors in line with BS EN ISO 17065 and IFCC scheme requirements.
  • Manage as required site inspections and report findings in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020 and client-specific needs.
  • Support UKAS accreditation by assisting with internal quality audits.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Inspectors.
  • Develop and update audit checklists for existing and new schemes
  • Assist in creating and implementing new schemes with the Head of Certification.
  • Review/Peer review technical reports and inspection documents.
  • Respond to client queries and support scheme members.
  • Handle new enquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Monitor industry developments and contribute insights.
  • Represent IFCC on trade association task groups.
  • Liaise with clients on certification requirements for both office systems and site installations.
  • Plan and manage daily activities including audits, inspections, reporting, and admin tasks.
  • Represent the Passive Team at IFCC Management Meetings as a valued member of the Senior Management Team.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with the Passive Installer Team and also carry quarterly Accomplishment Reviews.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Educated to Degree or HNC level, or equivalent work experience
  • Background in technical or quality control within a certification or inspection body, product manufacturer, or installation contractor
  • Experience in passive fire protection or related sectors
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • A full, valid UK driving licence, along with a flexible approach, the ability to work independently, adapt to irregular hours when needed, and a willingness to travel.

What can you expect from us in return?

  • £65,000 - £72,000 per annum
  • £5,880 Car Allowance

  • 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday. This is primarily a home-based role, with regular travel to client sites and occasional visits to our Aylesbury office.
