Are you passionate about Fire Protection solutions and looking to take the next step in your career? As we look to expand the team, we have multiple opportunities based from our Manchester office.

In this role, you will support internal and external customers with passive fire protection engineering judgments, queries, specifications, and drawings. This involves working on detailed technical designs for passive fire protection systems.

What does the role involve?

  • Working on technical enquiries for internal and external stakeholders, designing and specifying firestop products, creating engineering judgments and technical drawings, and advising on installation and performance of passive fire protection systems.
  • Creating bespoke and customer-tailored packages to meet project requirements.
  • Analyzing technical specifications, drawings, and plans to advise on the most suitable product selection while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborating with Fire Protection-related teams to address technical queries and provide solutions and product specifications.
  • Using internal reporting systems to archive queries and advice provided, ensuring the thread of information.
  • Supporting the Fire Protection Team and related activities.
  • Maintaining CPD records, keeping up-to-date with Hilti Firestop products, and industry standards and regulations, ensuring all tasks follow quality and safety standards.

What you need is:

  • A degree in engineering, preferably in Structural/Civil, Mechanical, or relevant fields
  • Experience in Passive Fire Protection / Firestopping
  • Familiarity with construction techniques, site procedures, and UK building terminology
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Ability to analyze datasets and propose practical, compliant solutions
  • Good AutoCAD skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly, including to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent English communication skills
