Our community school in Ealing, with a strong connection to its local area and a supportive ethos, is seeking a Passionate Sociology Teacher to join their thriving Social Sciences department. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher to inspire students across Key Stage 4 and potentially KS5 with an understanding of society and social issues through the lens of Sociology. Location: EalingRole: Sociology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons across Key Stage 4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of sociological theories and concepts.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Sociology curriculum within the Social Sciences department.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Sociology.
  • Potentially contribute to extracurricular Sociology clubs or discussions, promoting engagement with social issues within the community.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Sociology.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject of Sociology.
