NEWSTEAD WOOD SCHOOL is seeking a dedicated Maths teacher to plan and deliver across Key Stages 3 to 5, with opportunities to teach Further Maths at KS4-5. The role emphasizes safeguarding, high standards, and a collaborative approach within the Maths department.

You will engage academically gifted students and contribute to a rich enrichment program, while developing curriculum and participating in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Plan and teach Maths across KS3 to KS5 and teach Further Maths across KS4 & KS5.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures and promote student welfare.
• Be an enthusiastic advocate for Maths and its role in education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct.
• Develop positive and courteous relations with students, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure schemes of work are followed, reviewed and updated to maintain high teaching standards.
• Keep up to date with developments in Maths and education to ensure best practice.
• Monitor students' work to ensure high standards and identify learning needs.
• Ensure pupil progress is regularly assessed and used to inform future teaching.
• Provide feedback to students and parents on progress with clear guidance for improvement.
