Job summary

The role requires a full category D driving licence, manual handling, first aid, and the ability to work independently, including weekends as part of a rota.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with category D liability
• Manual Handling training completed
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Emergency First Aid qualification held
• Wheelchair securing knowledge demonstrated

Responsibilities

• Deliver the service plans and objectives for the Fleet operations team.
• Safely transport all passengers.
• Promote passenger safety and welfare.
• Ensure wheelchair users are supported and safe.
• Maintain and operate vehicles per policies and guidance.
• Complete transport documentation as required.
• Wear PPE and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Provide support to Day Services management as needed.
• Operate fleet vehicles, including in emergencies.
• Operate the required communication system.
• Collect fares, passes, issue tickets and account for monies.
• Meet legislative hours regulations and tachograph requirements.
