We are a leading HGV fleet maintenance provider committed to delivering efficient, high-quality vehicle support services. With a strong reputation for excellence and a growing fleet, we’re looking for a reliable and proactive Parts Operative/Advisor to join our busy workshop team.

The Role:

As a Parts Operative/Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the parts department to ensure mechanics and technicians have timely access to the correct parts and stock. You’ll support the smooth operation of our HGV fleet workshop by maintaining accurate records, managing inventory levels, and ensuring all orders and deliveries are handled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming parts and deliveries
  • Issue parts to technicians and ensure correct allocation
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and reorder parts as needed
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes and order stock
  • Ensure correct labelling, storage, and rotation of parts
  • Process invoices and maintain up-to-date records
  • Assist in stocktakes and inventory audits
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts area
  • Support the workshop and fleet team with any parts-related queries

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar parts/warehouse role (HGV or automotive preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and IT skills (knowledge of stock management systems is an advantage)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
