Monday to Friday 8AM TO 5.30PM + Saturday morning on a rota basis

OTE Up to £40,000 per annum

Lookers Glasgow Volvo are recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Parts Manager to join our hard-working and friendly team on site. As a Parts Manager at our Volvo site you will be responsible for leading a busy Parts Department, providing excellent customer service and demonstrating a comprehensive technical understanding of the automotive trade. Joining our hard-working aftersales department, you will be a team player with exceptional communication skills to build rapport with colleagues and customers. Not only will you be joining one of the top automotive retailers in the UK, but you will also be offered continuous support to develop your skills and establish a strong career within the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Lead your team to success in a busy fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure that all customers at retail and workshop areas are dealt with quickly and efficiently and that all orders are processed on the same day.
  • Achieves sales by prospecting, acquiring and maintaining accounts and actively promoting Parts and associated promotions to potential customers.
  • Answers customers’ questions regarding technical problems, warranties and repairs in a manner that is easily understood and does not use excessive technical jargon.
  • Actively support company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
  • Manage accurate data collection and provide forecasts on departmental performance.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a dedication to flawless customer service and will be passionate about the motor trade industry. Having lots of enthusiasm, drive and motivation is key to consistently achieve fantastic results. Previous experience in a similar position and within the motor trade industry is essential. You will need to hold a full UK driving license as you may be expected to drive some of the most prestigious cars on the market! The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can easily develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues, the client base and manufacturers. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and accurate record-keeping, is positive & friendly. We’re looking for a Parts Manager who demonstrates integrity, discretion and objectivity with the ability to work well under pressure, handle conflicting demands, and schedule work appropriately.
