Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and organizedParts Managerto join our high-performance, Porsche-specialist workshop. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of parts inventory and procurement, ensuring availability of genuine and aftermarket Porsche components to support our technicians and service advisors. This role requires a strong understanding of Porsche models (classic and modern), excellent vendor management skills, and a proactive approach to stock control and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, order, and maintain optimal stock levels of parts and accessories.
- Identify, verify, and supply correct parts to technicians and service advisors quickly and accurately.
- Build and maintain relationships with official Porsche parts suppliers, OEM vendors, and aftermarket sources.
- Oversee parts inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels, minimal shrinkage, and regular audits.
- Manage returns, core charges, warranty claims, and special orders.
- Work closely with the workshop team to forecast parts needs for upcoming repairs and restoration projects.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas, labelling and cataloguing parts effectively.
- Price parts competitively while maintaining margins; prepare quotes when needed.
- Keep up to date with new Porsche models, classic part availability, and discontinued items.
- Use parts management systems and dealership software to track, order, and invoice parts efficiently.
- Support customer inquiries related to Porsche parts and accessories when necessary.
- Communicate with Office Manager and Workshop Manager to allow a smooth operation from start to finish.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a high-end automotive environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Porsche models (classic and modern), parts systems, and terminology.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in using dealership management systems (VGM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and cost-control initiatives.
- Attention to detail and a passion for Porsche engineering and heritage.
