Job description

PARTS DRIVER

Stephen James BMW & MINI is looking for an experienced delivery driver to join its aftersales team to deliver and collect parts. If you are friendly, reliable, and hardworking, then this is a great opportunity to work with one of the world’s most admired brands in the automotive industry.

Your Role

As a delivery driver representing BMW and MINI, your interaction with customers significantly impacts their experience and perception of Stephen James. You will be responsible for delivering ordered parts to trade customers and bodyshops. Route planning is essential, and you should be able to prioritize deliveries based on customer needs and the most efficient routes.

Main Duties

1. Provide an efficient collection and delivery service of parts to and from suppliers and Service Centres.
2. Load and unload vehicle parts safely and efficiently.
3. Maintain high levels of customer service at all times.
4. Verify order accuracy before delivery and obtain signatures and payments upon delivery.
5. Ensure secure collection of payments and supply invoices at the time of delivery.
6. Assist with stocktaking and keep the warehouse tidy and organized.
7. Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.

Your Profile

1. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
2. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong geographical knowledge of London and surrounding counties.
4. Excellent time management and route planning skills.
5. Proven experience in a delivery driver role.
6. Must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid, clean UK driving license for at least 1 year, and be confident driving a transit-sized vehicle.
7. Ability to lift and carry heavy parts up to 20 kg.

Salary and Hours

Basic salary: £28,571.40 per annum plus an additional bonus of £1,200 to £2,400.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7 am–5 pm (45 hours per week).
