PARTS ADVISOR

Stephen James BMW is seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Advisor to join our team. If you have a passion for BMW and MINI and aim to provide exceptional customer service, this is a great opportunity to advance your career with one of the world's leading automotive brands.

YOUR ROLE

As a Parts Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our parts department, supporting both the workshop and retail counter. Your expertise in identifying and sourcing the correct parts will help serve internal and external customers, consistently exceeding expectations and delivering outstanding service.

You will drive growth in all aspects of the parts business through direct selling, leveraging your knowledge of our stock, products, and competitors. Routine stock checks, proactive customer follow-ups, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and drivers will be key to your success.

Main duties include:

  1. Liaising with customers via telephone and face-to-face to identify and source parts
  2. Ensuring parts are ordered correctly and checked upon arrival
  3. Following up with customers regarding parts and pricing
  4. Maintaining a tidy parts department and workstation
  5. Conducting stock checks, maintaining accurate inventory, and managing stock levels proactively

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven experience as a parts advisor, preferably in a franchised motor trade environment
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others
  • Proficiency in Kerridge/Drive and ETK systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

SALARY AND HOURS

Basic Salary: £30,000 (dependent on experience), with an OTE of £36,000 per annum

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm or 7am–5pm, and Saturdays 8am–12.30pm on a rota basis (overtime paid for Saturdays)
