Job summary

Hunt Forest Group in Dorchester is seeking a proactive Parts Advisor to join the Dorchester parts department. You will assist with selling, receiving and delivering parts, delivering in-store customer service while supporting stock, promotional and organizational duties.

The role requires efficient, accurate work and the ability to work in a team or on your own initiative. You will be part of a family-run, expanding business with strong growth and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with promoting and selling parts and/or services to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Maintains merchandise displays and store presentation
• Verifies receipt of incoming shipments and locates items
• Follows up on shortages and reports to the Outlet Parts Manager
• Executes sales parts marketing plans and supports campaigns
• Handles telemarketing sales operations and order processing
• Maintains inventory control, invoicing and related admin

Job description

Salary: Between £28,000 – £32,500 DOE potential earnings of £38K+ to include overtime.

Job Type: Full time / Permanent

Work location: Dorchester, South West England, England

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday – Friday (+ weekend and seasonal work on a rota basis paid at overtime rate)

About the role:

Responsible for assisting with the selling, receiving and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, delivers in-store customer service whilst assisting with the overall organisational, promotional and stocking duties.

• Assists with promoting and selling parts and/or services to meet customer needs.
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise display.
• Supports with verifying receipt of incoming shipments and assists with locating Machine Down and Stock Orders in their correct location.
• Follows up on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Outlet Parts Manager
• Executes sales parts marketing plans and shares ideas for future campaigns.
• Executes telemarketing sales operations.
• Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing and other administration tasks.
• Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly and well organized.
• Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry.
• Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Ability to work in a team environment..
