Job summary

Peacock & Binnington is a premier UK agricultural machinery supplier and retailer. This role assists the Parts Manager with daily operations, stock control, and order processing for spare parts and garden machinery.

The position involves retail counter work, internal distribution to technicians, and goods inwards. A full UK driving license and willingness to learn are required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Peacock & Binnington are one of the UK's premier Agricultural Machinery suppliers with market leading brands from Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, JCB, Vaderstad, Lemken, Joskin and Stihl.

Job role

To assist the Parts Manager in delivering the targets of the department by participating in the day to day running of the Parts Department whilst ensuring excellent customer service at all times. To identify and process spare parts and garden machinery orders for internal and external customers.

Essential skills:

• Good I.T. skills including Internet and Email
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Excellent communication skills both face-to-face and verbal
• Attention to and an eye for detail in all aspects of day-to-day running
• Eagerness to learn and attend training courses as necessary
• To participate in the seasonal workings of agriculture
• Flexible and pro-active
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a busy environment
• Smart and presentable appearance
• A full UK driving license

A basic knowledge of farm machinery would be an advantage although product familiarisation and parts sales training will be available, a grounding and understanding of agriculture would also be beneficial. The position will involve a variety of roles from retail counter serving, internal distribution to our technicians through to goods inwards.
