You will join one of London's largest professional services tax teams, serving clients across sectors including law firms, consultants, recruiters, architects, property services, financial services, and private equity, including their partners and senior executives.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical, commercial, and client relationship skills in a supportive, collaborative environment, working with recognized sector experts.

Our client base provides a chance to work on diverse projects, delivering UK and international tax reporting, compliance, and advisory services.

You will handle matters related to management of clients in professional services and investment fund management sectors, especially partnerships/LLPs and some corporate clients.

You will also identify opportunities for new work development.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and manage your client portfolio with support from directors and partners, collaborating with junior colleagues.
• Contribute to BDO’s professional services strategy by building your market profile, overseeing quality tax advice, and seeking new opportunities.
• Act as a key contact for clients, ensuring prompt and proactive responses to their needs and maintaining regular contact.
• Oversee delivery of tax compliance and advisory services within your portfolio, supported by managers and juniors.
• Handle interesting and varied tax issues.
• Identify and develop business and sales opportunities with partners.
• Expand your internal and external network to support your career and business growth.
• Participate in group management and coach junior staff.
• Share knowledge and experience within the firm.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA/CTA (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in partnership or corporate/personal tax compliance and advisory, preferably within professional services firms, private equity, or similar sectors.
• Ability to manage a client portfolio and engage with senior management.
• Experience in business development activities.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Experience supervising junior staff.
• Committed to technical and personal development with ambition to progress.
