Job description

Bauer Media Outdoor UK is one of the leading Out of Home media owners, with more than 33,000 advertising sites in our portfolio. Our talented team of over 650 people work in 14 locations across the country, creating and delivering some of the most memorable advertising campaigns in the UK.

At Bauer Media Outdoor, we are committed to Creating the Future of Media. We’re at the forefront of the change in our industry, making innovative use of technology and realising the potential of Out of Home media.

About the role

As Partnerships Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities across the South region, specifically managing our contracts in Portsmouth and Plymouth. You’ll act as the key point of contact for these contracts both internally and externally, ensuring we deliver on commitments, identify growth opportunities, and remain the partner of choice for councils.

You’ll work closely with the Estate Manager and wider delivery teams to oversee contract fulfilment, understand local authority priorities, and contribute to successful tender outcomes. Your success will be measured through strong stakeholder relationships, contract performance and long-term renewals.

This role can be based in London or the Southwest, but regular travel across the region, including Portsmouth, Plymouth, and other sites as required - is essential.

What you’ll be doing..

  • Build and manage strong relationships with local authorities and key contacts so we are more than just a service provider
  • Own and drive the strategy for your region, in collaboration with the Estate Manager and Operations
  • Ensure contractual obligations in Portsmouth and Plymouth are met and exceeded
  • Lead on contract negotiations and influence tender success through strategic engagement
  • Understand local council needs and feed insight into wider business strategy
  • Champion Bauer Media Outdoor and the OOH sector through proactive engagement and education
  • Support internal teams with tender responses and local knowledge
  • Keep site and contract data up to date and accurate across internal systems
  • Monitor competitor activity and share relevant intelligence

What we’re looking for…

  • Experience in customer relationship management – ideally from Local Authorities, Construction, or a passion for Out-of-Home (OOH) media
  • Alternatively, you might currently work in OOH and want to transition into a more strategic role focused on business development and relationship building, rather than direct campaign delivery
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Good commercial awareness and sound judgement
  • Highly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships
  • Confident using systems such as Excel, Word, and quick to learn internal platforms
  • Full UK driving licence
