Job Description

About the role:

OFX has developed a unique platform that can help accountants save time when managing their portfolio of clients. Our platform was custom-built around the needs of accountants.

We have an exciting new role of Accounting Community Leader who will be responsible for finding, connecting to and leading a community of clients in the accounting industry. This person is the glue that will make our accounting vertical stick together.

The position is a manager level role that is fundamental to OFX’s growth in the accounting industry. The profile for this role is someone who has ‘lived through’ the pain points that accountants have. This person will be able to step-up as a thought leader, inspiring accountants to make positive change in order to grow their firm. This role requires that the incumbent is outgoing, engaged and able to connect technical product solutions to working problems.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, organise, connect and grow a network of accountants across the UK & Ireland.
  • As an Accounting Community Leader, you will be at the hub of discussion – leading and fostering original content that makes an impact for accountants.
  • Work closely with Partnership sales as an expert-on-demand to identify opportunities.
  • This role has a very close relationship with Marketing since they will be the megaphone to project the messaging that you will shape.
  • Social skills to lead events including social media groups, roundtables, conferences, events, webinars, website articles and other outreach paths.
  • Be able to present the OFX accounting platform with confidence and unique accounting insight.
  • Support Partnership Sales in the transition between client activation and account management.
Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 years work experience as an accountant or consultant in the accounting industry.
  • Degree in accounting, business or related field.
  • Demonstratable experience working with Xero, Sage or Quickbooks.
  • Experience working directly or with clients that manage the complexities of cross-border payments.
  • Expansive network of clients, partners and colleagues across the ecosystem of accounting
  • You are a natural leader through influencing others.
  • Able to clearly and concisely present your value-add to an audience that is often flooded with communication.
  • Social and social media skills that show that you can build and lead a community.
