Job summary

Forvis Mazars UK is seeking a senior Partnership Tax lead to drive day-to-day compliance and tax strategy for the UK partnership. You will manage the Partnership Tax Group and coordinate with Finance, Payroll/Global Mobility, VAT and other specialists to ensure timely, accurate tax filings.

The role requires strong CPD, familiarity with quality/control frameworks, and hands-on experience with CCH Personal Tax.

Qualifications

• Proven UK partnership tax experience (LLP/SA800) and/or corporates (CT600/QIPs).
• Experience in a senior role within a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of the In-House UK Partnership Tax compliance function.
• Lead and steer the firm's tax strategy, policies and advisory for the partnership.
• Oversee annual LLP tax computations and SA800 with documentation of technical positions.

About the team

Lead the day‑to‑day delivery of theIn-House UK Partnership Tax compliance function as well as being responsiblefor leading and steering the firm's tax strategy, policies and advising on howthese impact the partnership and its partners.

You will be working closely with theclient-facing Head of Tax, CFO, Finance team, Partner Finance team and thewider client-facing Tax team.

About the role

• Run the CCH Personal Tax workflow fromintake through preparation, review, filing, payments and PoAs; maintain asingle exceptions log and weekly run‑ratedashboard.
• Own the annual LLP tax computation andSA800, maintaining clear documentation of technical positions and change‑control.
• Leadership of the Partnership TaxGroup, chairing meetings (currently quarterly) and monitoring the follow up ofactions.
• Managing the Partnership TaxTeam
• Prepare/review UK corporate taxcomputations and CT600s for UK entities; manage QIPs and coordinate SAOtouchpoints with Finance.
• Oversee SDES bulk submissions andensure HMRC portal alignment with internal schedules; liaise with PartnerFinance on reconciliations.
• Embed mandated workflow/qualitycontrols and enquiry readiness; drive first‑time‑right andmanage ageing items within tolerance.
• Partner with Finance, Payroll/GlobalMobility, VAT and other specialists; provide concise monthly status to thePartnership Tax Director.

What we are looking for

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)strongly preferred.
• You may be coming from a client facingpartnership tax role and looking to make a move in-house.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and familiaritywith firmwide quality/controls frameworks.
• Proven UK tax compliance experienceacross partnerships (LLP/SA800) and/or corporates (CT600/QIPs), ideally within professionalservices or complex multi‑entityenvironments.
• Relevant experience working in aprofessional services firm and in a senior role.
• Hands‑on fluency with CCH Personal Tax (or equivalent taxsoftware).
• Track record running seasonalcompliance workflows with standardised processes/dashboards and measurabledelivery against milestones.
• Strong working knowledge of the tax‑year basis post‑Basis Period Reform and its practicalities for partnerreturns and estimates.
• Confidence working with structured datasources, reconciliations and exception management to support automation ofcomplex partnership tax processes (e.g., LLP comp cycle).
• Ability to interpret and operationaliseemerging HMRC requirements, including Making Tax Digital (MTD), translatingregulatory changes into practical workflow and systems updates.
