Job summary

BDO UK is seeking a skilled tax professional to manage personal and partnership tax matters across the firm’s entities. You’ll review compliance, prepare calculations, and help optimise tax positions while working closely with partners and senior managers.

Based in the Gatwick area, the role offers flexible hours and opportunities to contribute to tax governance and BRR readiness, with a focus on delivering accurate reporting to HMRC and supporting colleagues across advisory and accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning and time management.
• Experience with Alphatax or CCH Personal Tax software would be helpful.
• Solid knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with macros/VBA would be beneficial.
• Professional tax qualification.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve partnership tax returns for the LLP.
• Review reports from accounting systems to identify disallowable expenses.
• Prepare and update models for tax and deferred tax movements.
• Assist partners with personal tax compliance matters.
• Liaise with HMRC on partnership tax matters.
• Support tax governance and BRR readiness.
