We are seeking to appoint a Partnership Improving Practice Manager who is curious and creative. This is a dynamic role within the Durham Safeguarding Children Partnership Business Unit working across partner agencies in Durham, this includes the three Statutory Partners Local Authority Children’s Social Care, Police and the Integrated Care Board as well as wider agencies such as Education, Housing, Probation and the voluntary sector.
The role requires you to be responsible for comprehensive multi-agency systems learning, exploring the pieces of the jigsaw, and analysing findings from child safeguarding practice reviews as well as a variety of improvement work some of which you will lead. You will be confident in making recommendations and identifying areas of practice improvement as well as supporting and delivering improvement plans. You will have the ability to collaborate at a strategic and operational level and have a strong reflective approach.
You will be autonomous whilst working with a diverse workforce across Durham. Building effective partnership relationships with key stakeholders and facilitating a safeguarding offer which focusses on improving knowledge and skills in safeguarding practice. You will ensure that developments and procedures align to national guidance and the local need.

We are interested in hearing from people with diverse backgrounds and experience from a range of agencies. You will be required to hold a Relevant Professional Qualification or Educated to degree level. You must have substantial experience of working within the arena of safeguarding children and multi-agency partnership working in your field of work.
