About Spacehive

Are you a proven B2B salesperson ready to drive growth at an award-winning tech for good company? Spacehive is seeking a results-driven Partnership Director - a client-facing sales role designed to land major deals while building genuine partnerships with councils, foundations, and corporates across the UK and Europe.

Why "Partnership Director"? This title reflects how our clients prefer to work with us - as strategic partners rather than vendors. But make no mistake: this is a pure sales role with aggressive targets, uncapped commission, and massive growth potential.

The opportunity

We\'re scaling fast and need a hunter to capture the growing demand for community engagement solutions in local government and corporate social responsibility.

The role

You\'ll own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signature, selling our SaaS community engagement platform to:

  • Local councils (up to £200k contracts)
  • Foundations and grant-makers (up to £150k contracts)
  • Corporate partners (up to £300k contracts)
What you\'ll do daily

Prospecting & lead generation

  • Cold outreach via LinkedIn, email, phone to local government and corporate prospects
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns
  • Research and identify high-value prospects in target verticals
  • Build targeted prospect lists using sales tools

Sales process management

  • Run discovery calls to understand community engagement challenges
  • Demo our SaaS platform to showcase ROI and social impact metrics
  • Develop custom proposals showing how Spacehive delivers measurable community outcomes
  • Navigate complex stakeholder groups (councillors, community teams, CSR directors)
  • Manage active opportunities in pipeline simultaneously

Closing deals

  • Lead contract negotiations from contract award to signature
  • Handle procurement processes and tender responses
  • Coordinate with legal on contract terms
  • Manage implementation handoffs to delivery team
What we\'re looking for

Essential experience:

  • 3+ years B2B sales with consistent quota attainment (£300k+ ARR)
  • Complex deal experience - Variable sales cycles, multiple stakeholders
  • SaaS sales experience preferred
  • Public sector sales highly desirable (councils, government agencies)
  • Proven track record closing deals £50k-£200k+

Sales skills:

  • Familiarity with sales methodologies
  • Comfortable with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM systems
  • Strong presentation skills for C-level audiences
  • Negotiation experience with legal/procurement teams
  • Data-driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting

Personality traits:

  • Hunter mentality - you love the thrill of landing big deals
  • Resilient - comfortable with rejection and long sales cycles
  • Consultative approach - you understand client problems before pitching solutions
  • Self-starter - you can build territory from scratch
  • Mission-driven - excited about social impact and community development
