Partnership is Chaucer's Portfolio Solutions division, providing dedicated capacity through large, bespoke partnerships with carriers, MGAs, brokers and other insurance vehicles across the global insurance and reinsurance market.
Unlike traditional underwriting portfolios, Partnership manages a diverse range of multi-class structures, each with unique underwriting, reporting and capacity arrangements. The business routinely evaluates large and complex datasets across multiple classes, territories and distribution models, requiring significant analytical capability to transform disparate portfolio information into meaningful underwriting and portfolio management insights.
The division operates at the intersection of underwriting, actuarial, exposure management, operations and portfolio management functions, requiring robust data governance, portfolio monitoring and accumulation management to support underwriting decisions and strategic capital deployment.
The Partnership Analyst will support the delivery of account analytic insights. You will help drive underwriting decisions, account monitoring and deliver bespoke client builds. You will report into the underwriting team and have the opportunity to work closely with actuaries, exposure management, governance, and operations teams. By working effectively on both review and assessment of complex commercial opportunities and by maintaining good and intelligent insight into the accounts you will support underwriters not just in managing individual accounts (at negotiating stage and post binding) but also the wider portfolio.
The role is critical to the effective operation of the Partnership division, supporting the assessment and management of large-scale portfolio transactions that frequently span multiple lines of business, geographies, distribution channels and underwriting structures. The analyst will be responsible for transforming complex and often non-standardised datasets into clear, credible insights that directly inform underwriting decisions, portfolio strategy and capital deployment.
This role will also offer you the opportunity to build experience in new ways of portfolio management, including use of AI and modern data MI management. Likewise, you will have the opportunity to gain insight into a wide range of transaction, clients and new trading strategies being deployed at Chaucer.
The role is not an actuarial or underwriting role; it is a data led role that provide the right candidate with a unique opportunity to work with a market leading Underwriting team often involved in cutting-edge market transactions. We are looking for a candidate with a robust approach to data, imagination and curiosity in improving our analysis and a desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Chaucer is a leading global insurer operating in both Lloyd's and company markets, helping industries worldwide manage risk.
We have shown strong financial success with our Gross Written Premiums growing from $1.4bn in 2019 to $3.5bn in 2024. Backed by strong teams, platforms, and client relationships, Chaucer is poised for continued success.
A flexible hybrid work model that supports individual and team needs.
A diverse, inclusive culture that values people for who they are.
Extensive, non-contributory benefits, including medical, life, and pension cover, flexible holidays, and wellbeing support.
