Job description

Our Finance team is looking for an experienced Partnership Accountant to join us.

As part of Baringa’s finance team, the Partner Finance team prides itself on providing exemplary service to partners as shareholders of the business – from onboarding, during their active partnership, and as they exit the partnership. We are building a shareholder finance provision that is personal, process-driven, fully tech-enabled, and scalable.

What you will be doing

With support from the Director of Partner Finance, your key focus will be partner compensation for our 200 global partners, including calculating partner remuneration, projections, and distributions. We are in an exciting phase of replatforming our complex model and revamping our partner collateral, and your role will be pivotal in supporting and implementing these changes.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Partner compensation
  • Understanding Baringa’s partnership model and calculating annual profit sharing, equity points, and valuation allocations across all partners.
  • Calculating quarterly partner capital distributions.
  • Delivering bi-annual financial details ("financial strips") to all partners on schedule.
  • Preparing annual financial projections for existing and prospective partners.
  • Supporting the design and application of global partner tax reserving.
  1. Partner support
  • Serving as a technical expert and trusted advisor to partners, including presenting via Q&A sessions and 1:1 meetings.
  • Supporting the end-of-year partner performance process with financial information.
  • Maintaining financial information as per the Partnership Finance Handbook and issuing it to partners upon request.
  1. Enhancement of Partner Finance offering
  • Participating in testing and implementing tech-driven partner allocation models.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Partner Finance to update materials and processes for onboarding, existing, and retiring partners.

Your skills and experience

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant, preferably with experience in a large practice or professional services environment.
  • Experience in partnership accounting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with partners and staff at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and across functions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience working in an international, multi-currency business.

What a career at Baringa will give you

Putting People First.

Baringa is a People First company, prioritizing wellbeing and work-life balance. Our benefits include:

  • Generous annual leave: 5 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks after 5 years of service.
  • Flexible working arrangements and hybrid policies.
  • Corporate Responsibility Days: 3 days annually for social and environmental causes.
  • Wellbeing Fund: Support for personal wellbeing activities.
  • Profit Share Scheme: Stake in the company's success for all employees.
