Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Partner Principal Architect to act as a CTO-level advisor for one or more priority Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) in the EMEA region. You will lead joint business planning, steer technical direction, and align multi-year bets with partner teams across Google Cloud.

You will own the enterprise architecture scope, drive cross-functional collaboration, and influence GTM strategy while engaging senior stakeholders and ensuring scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years as an enterprise architect or equivalent customer-facing role.
• Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
• Experience engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
• Experience with modern AI paradigms, generative AI, and data technologies, including solution reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted advisory relationships with priority GSIs in EMEA and engage with CTOs and lead architects to secure multi-year technology bets with Google Cloud.
• Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and promote Google Cloud with partners at conferences and online.
• Recommend integration strategies, partner-side enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for complex GSI mega-agreements.
• Co-author massive, enterprise-grade reusable assets with Google Cloud Platform CEs, PAs, product teams, and technical staff.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events as required (~50%).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
• Experience with modern artificial intelligence (AI) paradigms, generative AI, and data technologies, including experience reviewing technical solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
• Verticalized knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
• Ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products.
• Ability to drive and influence audiences and identify expansion engagements within accounts.
• Ability to drive and influence GSI audiences, identify expansion engagements within partner accounts, and ensure accelerated agreement velocity with zero partner-delivery escalations on GSI-led delivery mega-agreements.

The Google Cloud Partner Principal Architect role is a hybrid technical and business advisor role. In this role, you will act as a Google Cloud Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for one or more priority Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), embody executive-level qualities, lead the conversation, and direct the execution of the joint business plan by combining both technical goal and business insight. You are the ecosystem peer to Google Cloud's Lead Platform CEs and Principal Architects (PAs). You will own the technical capability, overarching enterprise architecture, and multi-year bets of the GSI tasked with delivering those solutions. Partner Principal Architects partner heavily with the EMEA Partner Development Manager responsible for these GSIs to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and execute impactful engagements across EMEA sub-regions and countries.

Operating at the Principal level, you will report directly to the Head of Partner Architecture GSIs and Strategic Partnerships EMEA.

• Build a trusted advisory relationship with priority GSIs in EMEA and engage with their EMEA CTOs, lead architects and practice leads to secure multi-year technology bets with Google Cloud.
• Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and effectively promote Google Cloud with partners, at conferences, and online.
• Make recommendations on integration strategies, partner-side enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution for complex GSI mega-agreements.
• Manage the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with GSI partners by collaborating with Google Cloud Platform CEs, PAs, product management, and technical teams to co-author massive, enterprise-grade replicable assets. Serve as the technical gatekeeper for the most strategic Gemini Enterprise AI funding.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required (can vary, on average ~50%).
