Department Description

The Partner Matters team is part of the Tax and Partner Matters department, supporting the firm's senior management on partner-related issues, mainly for approximately 400 partners of Hogan Lovells International LLP worldwide.

Role Overview

This role involves managing payments to partners, accounting for partner transactions, and handling non-accounting areas related to partners’ financial interests.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage monthly drawings, distributions, and bonus payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Oversee bank reconciliations for partner accounts.
  3. Maintain accurate data on partner remuneration, including new hires, retirements, and part-time arrangements.
  4. Participate in meetings with partners to explain compensation processes and address queries.
  5. Handle transaction entries, reconciliations, and reviews related to Partner Matters in the finance system.
  6. Assist with tax transaction recording and coordinate with overseas offices for accuracy.
  7. Respond to queries from partners and third parties.
  8. Review and improve departmental procedures regularly.
  9. Maintain data on partner capital subscriptions and loans.
  10. Provide earnings confirmations and profit share estimates to third parties.
  11. Update partner profile data accurately and timely.
  12. Manage partner insurance schedules.
  13. Suggest process improvements for team efficiency.
Person Specification
Qualifications, Experience, and Training
  • Educated to A-level/Degree level; accounting qualification not required but relevant experience in professional services preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel with formulas like Sumif and Vlookup.
  • Good knowledge of Word; familiarity with Elite 3E and document management systems is a plus.
